We undertake activities associated with the overhaul heading of ground works. This is a common term used in the construction industry for all works of an engineering nature below and just above the surface to damp proof course (DPC) also known as sub structure work.
Site Establishment – this is a particularly important aspect of any new development site. We offer a service to carefully plan every aspect of the early stages of starting off on a new site. This will include:-

Setting out the boundaries in order to satisfy legal ownership & planning requirements.

Setting out of the building/s in order to check everything actually fits & the orientation of the building/s are correct.

Provide the necessary access road/s in order to get machinery, workforce & materials onto the site in a safe and organised manner.

Arrange for placement of site accommodation & welfare facilities for the workforce & ensure they are serviceable.

Arrange for the site to be adequately secured with a view to protect the ongoing works & also ensure the public is reasonably protected from the hazardous building work.

Site Clearance & Earth Removal – An integral part of early stage construction work is careful planning of ground preparation. This is necessary before actual construction work commences in order to establish a suitable platform onto which to construct. Clearance of unwanted debris, foliage & earth is an important part of this process which we can carefully manage for you.

Groundwork – We have the capability to undertake all aspects of the necessary groundwork in order to get construction of a building underway. This will include:-

Excavations to place concrete to foundations

Construct sub structure walling.

All aspects of installation of underground foul & surface water drainage.

Installation of underground service entry.

Road & pavement construction.

Cast concrete floor slabs or lay pre cast floors over sub structure walling.

We will undertake and manage all of the above with a view to give our client a satisfactory base in order to begin all the super structure (above damp proof course) construction activities.
